In the Beginning...

I know what you're saying, "Another blog -great." As the old adage goes "Blogs are like assholes, everybody's got one." But here I am regardless, adding to the din of blogs out here in the World Wide Web. Well, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am the mom of 3, and the wife of one. I home school my kids; which can be rewarding or suicide inducing -depending on the day. But I love to write and have put that dream on the back burner because I thought, "Things like that don't happen to people like me."With the advent of the good ol' internet however, anyone with a computer and a dream can be that writer they've always wanted to be.

I call my blog "The Writer's Block," get it? Any way the "Other Sundries" part includes anything the hell else I want to talk about, including but not limited to, kids, husband, sports, politics, movies, music and last but not least, Christianity. ‘Cause I am a Christian and I will talk about my faith because it is important to me. If this scares you, take a deep breath, there will be no converting going on here (well, not always), but I’m going to be talking about my life and that is a big part of it.

With the religious disclaimer out of the way, let’s continue. As well as taking care of a home, I write movie reviews for this awesome site called DVD Verdict, take a look at my dossier right here: http://www.dvdverdict.com/dossiers/anelson.php and read a few reviews, than take a look at the expansive site.

So, this is the beginning, and I hope not the beginning of the end. My plan for my next post is an article about the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy. Curious? I hope so. Don’t be a stranger, come back to the block soon…
